Erasmus KA2 YOUTH Cooperation partnership 2023/2025.
Grant Agreement N° grant agreement 2023-1-IT03-KA220-YOU-000160281

Project Objectives

Depression, isolation and anxiety are rising rapidly among young people in Europe, straining the capacity of youth organizations to respond. To support them, CURIE will propose new tools and methods derived from successful techniques of private business and HR management, rooted in Emotional Intelligence theory. Our objective is the development of key emotional skills in youth workers, increasing the quality of the sector, and fostering innovative links between research and front-line practice.

Project Implementation

The project will propose new theoretical frameworks to define and implement Emotional Intelligence initiatives in Youth, by analyzing the needs of a wide pool of stakeholders and crossing them with the effective EI techniques currently in use in the academic and private sector. To pilot its EI model, CURIE will produce ad hoc learning materials to develop core EI skills in 15 staff members of partner organizations, teaching them how to replicate and adapt EI intervention to their specific needs.

Project Results

CURIE’s results include the design of new tools and methodologies supporting youth workers in their daily activities, the boosting of EI skills in participating practitioners and a collection of scientifically-sound, practical guidelines for an efficient application of EI to Youth. Our long-term aim is the implementation of the CURIE model in all youth institutions in our project’s network, as well as giving our contribution to a better harmonization of practice at the EU and international level.
