| In the framework of a conference held during the week of May 6, 2024 in the town of Vegadeo, Asturias Spain, organized by the City Council with the support of the Principality of Asturias and the technical direction of the Alliance of Foundations for the Development of Territories, different meetings, debates and presentation of initiatives are carried out, so that local, regional and national representatives, experts in rural development, entrepreneurs and different groups exchange knowledge and share public and private collaboration projects, unique joint experiences and experiences that, although from different perspectives, have in common a firm commitment to the development of rural areas, regional and national representatives, experts in rural development, entrepreneurs and different groups exchange knowledge and share public and private collaboration projects, singular joint experiences and experiences that, although from different perspectives, have in common a firm commitment to sustainable development, promotion and community valorization, present and future, of the rural environment.
In this scenario, some of the current projects and lines of action developed by young people that seek to return a global view of the rural world from their own perspective, take on special relevance. The group of young people from Castropol on Friday May 10, in the framework of this conference and in the space “Charting our own horizon: Youth Projects to Redefine the Rural”, explain how their activities of approach to the emotional well-being of young people and their work, are part of the ERASMUS+ KA220- YOU project – “CURIE – Changes for the education of young people in the management of relationships with Emotional Intelligence”. In their presentation and dissemination of the project, supported by technicians of their City Council, as figures representing the support of this institution to the project, and of the FCA as a member of the CURIE consortium, thus disseminate this project to other youth groups as well as mayors, county and provincial authorities and other attendees.
